AI agents are becoming useful in practice when they are allowed to do more than generate text. Documents are another natural fit. The safest deployments combine automation with control. IBM similarly stresses governance, monitoring and clear access controls, while warning that integration with existing software can be complex. The practical conclusion is straightforward: agents deliver the most value when they are embedded in the tools people already use, but they only earn trust when organisations limit what they can do and record what they have done.
