Fliggy, Alibaba Group’s online travel platform, has introduced its latest agentic AI assistant, extending a broader push inside the company to move from conversational tools to systems that can complete tasks. The assistant is built on Alibaba’s Qwen model and trained on Fliggy’s own travel data and live transaction systems, which the company says allows it to handle multi-step requests such as bookings, seat selection, itinerary changes and cancellations. The company said the assistant can also manage longer-running jobs, including room upgrades and back-and-forth communication with hotels, while keeping travellers updated without constant supervision.
