Amazon Quick has announced the launch of its AI-powered extensions for Microsoft 365, now available globally, offering users seamless in-app assistance for tasks across Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
Amazon Quick has moved its Microsoft 365 extensions out of preview and into general availability, bringing its AI assistant directly into Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook. According to AWS, the tools are designed to let users carry out work inside the Microsoft apps they already use, rather than switching between systems for analysis, drafting and inbox management.
The Excel extension is aimed at spreadsheet-heavy work, including data cleaning, importing information, building pivot tables and charts, and carrying out more complex analysis. AWS says the PowerPoint extension can turn Quick data into presentation-ready decks using organisation-defined templates, while the Word extension can generate formatted documents, make broad edits with track changes switched on, and take part in comment threads as a reviewer.
AWS had already previewed the Word, Excel and PowerPoint extensions in April, and later added the Outlook extension in preview in May. The Outlook tool is intended to handle email and calendar work such as prioritising messages, sorting inboxes, drafting replies and arranging meetings using both Quick data and wider inbox context.
The company is positioning the extensions as tools for everyday functions across finance, sales, marketing, legal, operations and IT. AWS says the products are now available in US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Europe (Ireland), Asia Pacific (Tokyo) and Europe (Frankfurt), with installation available through the Quick download page and Microsoft’s app stores where supported.
