Bazaarvoice launches a new AI Visibility package to address the challenge of visibility for reviews, ratings, photos, and videos in AI shopping results, aiming to give brands an early move ahead as AI becomes central to product discovery.
Bazaarvoice has launched an AI Visibility package aimed at helping brands make customer reviews, ratings, photos and video easier for AI systems to find and use in shopping results. The company says the product is designed to address a common technical problem: much of this content sits inside JavaScript widgets that many AI crawlers do not process reliably, leaving material that can influence purchasing decisions effectively hidden from AI-driven discovery.
According to Bazaarvoice, brands already using the underlying infrastructure have recorded a median 40% rise in referral traffic from AI-driven sources, while all client UGC is being served in formats that AI crawlers can read immediately. The company says the package combines technical setup, implementation support and measurement so that retailers can track how often their content is surfaced or cited by AI systems as shopping moves further towards answer-led discovery rather than conventional search.
Doug Straton, Bazaarvoice’s chief marketing officer, said the issue is that standard JavaScript rendering creates a blind spot for crawlers, meaning reviews, shopper photos, videos and star ratings can be missed. He said the package was built to make the full range of consumer content visible when a crawler reaches a page. Bazaarvoice also says the product is intended to support both search engine optimisation and generative engine optimisation, with structured data helping AI systems understand ratings, review volume and related content.
The launch reflects a wider shift in e-commerce as AI platforms increasingly act as a filter between brands and consumers. Bazaarvoice says it has partnered with AI visibility measurement providers to track how often brand content is cited in AI answers, and it describes the package as a way for retailers to gain an early advantage as AI shopping tools become a more important part of product discovery.
