Coresystems leverages AI to redefine SAP service ecosystem with new automation tools

Swiss software firm Coresystems unveils innovative AI-driven products aimed at transforming SAP service operations, from large enterprises to SMEs, signalling a strategic shift beyond its traditional field service identity.

Coresystems, the Swiss software company that helped build tools for SAP Business One before SAP bought its field service arm in 2018, is trying to re-establish itself in the SAP ecosystem with a new set of AI-led products. According to SAP and Coresystems, the acquisition folded its earlier field service software into SAP’s own portfolio, but the company remained independent and has since shifted towards service automation, knowledge management and document generation for SAP customers.

Its core new offering, InsightLoop, is aimed at larger service organisations handling at least 5,000 cases a year. The system brings together product documentation, service history and previous resolutions so agents and technicians can work from a single knowledge base. Coresystems says the aim is to raise first-time fix rates and cut downtime. A companion product, InsightLoop Ticketing, is built around the same principle, but moves the AI work to the front of the support process. Incoming requests are classified, enriched with customer context and business rules, and paired with a draft response before an agent opens the ticket.

Coresystems presents that approach as different from conventional help desk systems that bolt generative AI on top of existing workflows. The company says InsightLoop Ticketing was designed as an AI-first product from the outset, with agents retaining control over what is sent to customers. It can operate on its own or connect to InsightLoop for predictive support and guided troubleshooting. SAP’s own description of InsightLoop also positions it as a tool for faster service resolution, including root-cause prediction and parts identification before a technician arrives on site.

The company is also extending that strategy to smaller businesses through Coresuite Designer AI, which targets SMEs using SAP Business One. Coresystems says the browser-based tool lets users describe a document in plain language and then generates templates for invoices, delivery notes and similar outputs, with headers, line items, totals and formatting created automatically. It runs as a cloud service and can publish finished layouts into SAP Business One’s Fat Client or Web Client for printing or email. Taken together, the products suggest that Coresystems is trying to move beyond its earlier field service identity and offer a broader AI layer for service operations and document automation around SAP’s installed base.
