Google integrates Antigravity into Gemini Enterprise for streamlined AI development and governance

Google expands access to its Antigravity coding tool by embedding it within Gemini Enterprise subscriptions, enhancing enterprise control, security, and scalability for AI-assisted software development.

Google has widened access to Antigravity by folding the coding agent into eligible Gemini Enterprise subscriptions, moving it from a standalone product surface into a managed enterprise package with controls for administration, cost and compliance. According to Google’s enterprise announcement, the integration is now available to Gemini Enterprise Standard, Plus and Standard Emerging Market customers, with administrators able to switch on Antigravity and Android Studio tools for licensed users through the Gemini Enterprise console.

The move is designed to reduce the friction of running AI development tools at scale. Google says the package gives organisations pooled usage, budget controls and audit functions, so teams can avoid separate licensing and billing arrangements while centralising oversight of software development spending. That structure is particularly relevant for larger IT departments that want developers to use AI coding tools without weakening procurement controls or security policy.

Financial governance is a key part of the update. Google says customers can set monthly project-level budget limits in its billing console, use shared token pools across teams and opt into overage billing once pooled quotas are used. The company also says central tracking covers token consumption, API calls and developer activity, while more granular per-user and team controls are planned for later.

On the security side, Antigravity in Gemini Enterprise sits within Google Cloud’s standard security and compliance framework. The company says administrators can define policies for workspace access, browser access and MCP server access, and can turn on audit logging from a single console. Those logs can record prompts, agent responses and related metadata, while Google says customer data remains governed by Google Cloud terms and agent activity stays inside the customer’s cloud boundary. The integration also adds Workforce Identity Federation and Application Default Credentials, which should make it easier for enterprises to apply corporate identity rules across development environments.

Google is also broadening where developers can use Antigravity. It now offers extensions for Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio in preview, JetBrains in preview and Zed in preview, alongside the Antigravity 2.0 desktop application and the command-line interface. Google says that reflects feedback from customers who wanted coding agents inside the tools they already use, rather than in a separate environment.

The company’s wider Antigravity documentation shows the enterprise version also supports Google Cloud projects and, in some configurations, private networking and data residency requirements. It positions Antigravity not just as a coding assistant, but as part of a broader agent platform that can be managed through enterprise controls and consumption-based billing. That is the direction several consulting and outsourcing partners appeared to endorse in comments published alongside the launch, saying the combination of developer speed and central governance is increasingly important as AI moves from experimentation into production software delivery.
