Google is adding brand-building, marketing and finance tools to Gemini, connecting the assistant with business data and third-party services to automate everyday work for small firms.
Google has expanded Gemini with a new set of tools aimed at small businesses, sharpening the assistant’s role from a general-purpose AI helper into a platform for day-to-day commercial work. According to Google’s announcement, the update centres on a dedicated business landing page that pulls together brand building, financial analysis and customer insights in one place, with the stated aim of reducing time spent on routine administration.
The company says the new hub can connect Gemini with Google Business Profile, Google Ads and Google Workspace, as well as third-party services including Adobe, Canva, Dropbox, Shopify, Wix, Zoho and Xero. It also allows users to upload websites, brand kits, fonts and colour palettes so that Gemini can produce material that stays consistent with a business’s established visual identity.
Google is also pairing the rollout with its Nano Banana 2.1 image-generation model, which it says can create marketing assets for product launches and campaigns while following a defined brand style. In practice, that means small firms can produce promotional content without repeatedly entering the same design instructions, a change that could matter for businesses with limited in-house marketing capacity.
The finance tools are designed to interpret spreadsheets, receipts and purchase records and turn them into visual summaries or interactive models. Google said the features should make financial data easier to read and use, helping owners spot patterns in their records. The company added that tens of millions of small business owners already use Gemini for tasks such as product development, customer feedback and performance analysis.
Google also cited examples intended to illustrate the practical use of the tools. In France, it said, a ceramicist uses Gemini to draft product descriptions, newsletters and social posts, saving two to three hours a day. In Maharashtra, it said farmer and content creator Santosh Jadhav used the assistant to assess soil suitability for ginger, estimate seed needs and prepare an investment budget despite lacking formal training or local guidance. The business landing page, along with the marketing, finance and app-integration features, is due to roll out globally to Gemini app users in the coming days.
