Google has launched Gemini 3.7 Flash, its latest AI model that promises faster performance, better coding capabilities, and enhanced workflow integration, all while maintaining lower costs into 2027.
Google has unveiled Gemini 3.7 Flash, the latest update to its Flash line, positioning it as a faster and more capable model for coding, web development and multi-step agent workflows. The release follows Gemini 3.6 Flash by just three weeks, suggesting Google is iterating quickly on performance and reliability rather than waiting for a broader product cycle.
According to Google’s own benchmark figures, the new model makes its biggest gains in software engineering. On FrontierCode-1.1-Main, its score for production-like code rises from 34.4% to 43.6% versus Gemini 3.6 Flash. In DeepSWE v1.1, it moves from 49.0% to 65.3%. Google also says Gemini 3.7 Flash needs less prompting for functional layouts and complete web apps, while its Arena.ai WebDev Arena Elo rating improves to 1,588 from 1,538.
The company is also promoting stronger document handling and process automation. In GDP.pdf tests for complex documents, accuracy increases from 22.0% to 34.0%, which Google says should matter in fields such as finance, law and life sciences. On AutomationBench, performance rises from 17.0% to 30.4%. Google also says the model behaves more predictably in agentic settings, with better discipline in planning, tool use and handling ambiguous instructions, reducing the need for repeated user intervention.
That emphasis on practical workflow is echoed in reporting by Tom’s Guide, which described Gemini 3.7 Flash as particularly effective inside Google Workspace, where it can organise emails, files and next steps while respecting user approval before taking action. Google says the model is now integrated into Gemini Spark, a background assistant for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers, and is available through Google Antigravity, the Gemini API in Google AI Studio, Android Studio and the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform. The company has also tightened safety controls around cyber-offensive and CBRN-related misuse, while keeping access for legitimate bioresilience and cyber research.
Google says pricing will be lower than the standard launch rate through 31 December 2026, at $0.75 per million input tokens and $3.75 per million output tokens, before moving to $1.50 and $7.50 respectively from 1 January 2027. That places Gemini 3.7 Flash squarely in Google’s effort to pair lower-cost inference with stronger reasoning, coding and automation performance.
