Ionic Wealth launches AI platform to deliver more personalised wealth management insights

Ionic Wealth has introduced Ionic Wealth AI, a new portfolio intelligence tool designed to enhance advisers’ understanding of clients’ financial journeys through personalised insights, integrated data, and contextual analysis, marking a significant step in the evolving digital wealth landscape.

Ionic Wealth has rolled out Ionic Wealth AI, a new portfolio intelligence feature that aims to move beyond basic account tracking and give advisers a more contextual view of a client’s financial life. The company says the system combines an investor’s past transactions, previous conversations and market research to generate more personalised portfolio insights, rather than acting as a simple chatbot.

The platform connects through Mutual Fund Central on a consent-based basis and can pull in as much as 20 years of mutual fund transaction history. According to the company, that data is then matched with its own research across markets, macroeconomics and asset classes to identify portfolio concentration, investment habits and behavioural trends. Ionic Wealth says the goal is to assess the broader wealth-building journey before offering any observation or recommendation.

Srikanth Subramanian, the company’s chief executive and co-founder, said at a media briefing that investors do not need more information so much as better interpretation of that information in relation to long-term goals. Shobhit Mathur, co-founder, argued that wealth management still struggles with fragmentation, as clients often hold equities, mutual funds, banking products and retirement savings across different providers without a single consolidated view. He said AI should help connect those relationships rather than replace them.

A key feature of the platform is memory. Ionic Wealth says the system stores prior discussions within its own infrastructure so that later interactions can build on earlier ones, rather than starting from zero each time. Mayank Rathi, the company’s chief product and technology officer, said the AI stack was built in-house to give the firm tighter control over customer data and to integrate its investment framework directly into the product. The company also said access depends on consent-driven integrations, with portfolio data synced only after authorisation.

The launch comes as Ionic Wealth expands within India’s affluent-investor market. Hubbis reported that the platform had reached ₹100.83 billion in assets under management by FY26, while the Economic Times has previously said the business crossed ₹5,070 crore in AUM in the June quarter and later passed $1 billion in AUM within 22 months. Those figures suggest growing demand for an omnichannel model that blends human advice with digital tools, particularly among UHNI and HNI clients. Ionic Wealth says its AI is intended as an augmentation layer, with relationship managers still available for investors who want human support.
