PixPix has integrated Black Forest Labs’ FLUX Upscale into its AI creative platform, enabling users to elevate videos to native 4K resolution, streamlining the transition from rough AI footage to production-ready content without switching pipelines.
PixPix has added Black Forest Labs’ FLUX Upscale to its AI creative platform, giving users a way to enhance generated and existing video to as much as native 4K within the same workflow. The company says the integration is intended to shorten the path from rough AI footage to material that is closer to production use, without forcing creators to switch into a separate enhancement pipeline.
Black Forest Labs introduced FLUX Upscale on 20 August 2026 as a standalone tool and API endpoint. According to the company’s description, the model is designed for source material from 480p and above and does more than simple enlargement: it regenerates video at higher resolutions, which may help address issues that conventional upscaling leaves in place, such as soft facial detail and texture artefacts in grass or water.
The model offers two modes. Runware’s documentation says “Precise” mode is aimed at keeping identity, composition and reference details stable, while “Creative” mode allows more aggressive reconstruction of missing detail. The service supports 1.5x, 2x and 3x scaling, and the supported output path can reach 4K depending on the source material. PixPix says that makes the feature relevant for advertising, e-commerce, social content and short-form campaign assets, where sharper output can affect cropping, editing and delivery across different screens.
The integration also reflects a broader shift in AI production tools towards combined generation and post-production environments. Adobe has recently moved in a similar direction with its web-based Firefly video editor, while Black Forest Labs has been expanding its video stack with newer multimodal models such as Flux 3. For PixPix, the addition of FLUX Upscale broadens its case as an end-to-end workspace for image generation, video generation, editing and enhancement, rather than a standalone creative app.
