Stockholm startup Strawberry has launched version 1.0 of its AI agent platform, targeting non-technical teams with browser-based companions designed to learn workplace workflows.
Strawberry, a Stockholm-based startup backed by $6 million from EQT and General Catalyst, has released version 1.0 of its AI agent platform, extending its push beyond beta and into wider use by non-technical teams. According to the company, the service is intended for functions such as sales, recruiting, customer support and marketing, where staff often need software that can work within existing processes rather than replace them.
The platform is free to try and lets users build what Strawberry calls “AI companions” rather than conventional chatbots. The company says the difference is that these companions are designed to behave more like colleagues, working alongside teams inside the browser where day-to-day context, workflows and logins already exist. Strawberry says the system is meant to learn how a team operates over time, retaining context and improving with continued use. Startup Researcher reported that the 1.0 release also adds customisable companion appearances and a “Companion Plaza” for interactions between tasks.
Retail Tech Innovation Hub reported that Strawberry plans to follow the launch with a Series A funding round. The browser is available on macOS and Windows, with the company also said to be planning expansion across Europe and the US. For now, the release positions Strawberry in a crowded market for workplace AI tools, but with a narrower pitch: software built for operational teams that want automation embedded in their daily browser-based work rather than in separate chat interfaces.
