Anker’s Nano Charging Station is emerging as a compact answer to desk-top cable clutter, combining AC outlets and USB charging in a body that is far slimmer than a conventional power strip. According to ASCII.jp, the version on sale in Japan measures about 100 x 93 x 19mm and is being sold on Amazon.co.jp for 6,990 yen, with demand visible on the marketplace as of 25 September. The appeal is straightforward: it is designed for people who want one small unit that can sit neatly on a desk or travel in a bag without turning into another bulky accessory.
The Japanese model focuses on practical simplicity rather than raw output. It provides two AC sockets alongside two USB-C ports and two USB-A ports, allowing up to six devices to charge at the same time. ASCII.jp said the single USB-C port can deliver up to 67W, enough to fast-charge a laptop as well as phones and tablets. That makes the product more versatile than a standard multi-socket adaptor, particularly for users who can power smaller devices directly from USB instead of relying on separate charging bricks.
A newer version of the Nano Charging Station has also been introduced in the United States, and the specification set there is notably more ambitious. Tom’s Guide reported that the 7-in-1 desktop charger delivers 100W in total, with three AC outlets, a 100W USB-C port, a 12W USB-A port and two retractable USB-C cables that extend to around 2.3 feet. The same report said Anker claims the charger can take a 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M4 chip to 50% in 30 minutes, while an onboard LCD gives live charging and temperature information. That puts the device closer to a desktop power hub than a simple travel adaptor.
Reviews suggest that the concept works best when the charger stays in one place. Pack Hacker and other reviewers praised the way the station reduces desk clutter and combines several charging methods in one unit, but they also noted trade-offs, including its weight, the fixed power cord and the fact that charging speeds are shared across ports when several devices are connected. Even so, the basic proposition is clear: for users juggling laptops, phones and accessories, a slim all-in-one charger can simplify both workspace and packing.
