The Anker Nano Power Strip, featuring a clamp-on design with 10-in-1 power options, is currently priced below its RRP on Amazon, making it a more practical choice for tidying up busy workspaces.
Anker’s Nano Power Strip is being sold at Amazon for $58, according to Macworld, putting the clamp-on desk accessory below its $70 list price and making it a more tempting buy for anyone trying to reduce cable clutter. The appeal is straightforward: it turns a messy desk into a more organised charging point without needing to reach under the table for every plug.
The design is built around a split layout. There are six AC outlets in total, with two positioned on top of the desk and the rest tucked underneath, alongside two USB-C ports and two USB-A ports that remain easy to reach. That arrangement is intended to keep everyday devices such as phones, lamps and monitors close at hand, while keeping the bulk of the wiring out of sight. According to Anker’s product page and MacRumors, the unit is a 10-in-1 strip with a 70W maximum USB-C output.
That 70W rating matters. Anker says one USB-C port can deliver enough power for many laptops as well as tablets and phones, while its product listing also highlights 1,500J surge protection and smart overload protection. The clamp itself is the other notable feature: it grips the edge of a desk and is meant to stay steady enough for one-handed plugging and unplugging, which is useful in a workspace where access matters as much as power capacity.
There is, however, a practical limit. Anker says the clamp fits desks between 0.6 inches and 1.8 inches thick, and curved or sloping edges may not work well. That makes it less universal than a conventional power strip, but for flat-edged desks it is a neat solution, and Macworld’s coverage suggests the current Amazon price makes it easier to justify than at full cost.
