Anker introduces the MagGo Power Bank Pro 2, equipped with active cooling and intelligent charging features to maintain steady wireless charging speeds and extend battery lifespan, marking a significant upgrade in portable charging technology.
Anker has taken aim at one of the most stubborn limits in wireless charging: heat. The company’s new MagGo Power Bank Pro 2 uses active cooling inside a magnetic battery pack to stop temperatures rising to the point where phones slow their own charging, a problem that affects many fast wireless chargers once they warm up. According to the product write-up and later reports from Notebookcheck, Android Authority and Ubergizmo, the design is built around preserving 25W output rather than peaking briefly and then tapering off.
The result, Anker claims, is a much steadier charging curve. The power bank is said to hold around 36°C, or 96.8°F, during a full charge, compared with rival magnetic packs that can exceed 113°F after only 20 minutes. That matters because thermal throttling is what usually forces wireless charging speeds down. With the Pro 2, Anker says an iPhone 17 Pro can reach 25% in 10 minutes and 50% in about 25 minutes.
The device also includes a 45W USB-C port for wired charging, which gives it more flexibility than a purely magnetic pack. Notebookcheck and Android Authority report a smart display that shows output, battery health and fan settings, while the built-in kickstand lets the phone sit upright during use. That turns it into a desk accessory as much as a travel battery, especially for video calls, streaming or nightstand use.
Anker has also added charging logic aimed at overnight use. The company says its Overnight Care mode times the final part of the charge so the phone reaches full capacity just before a set alarm, rather than lingering at 100% for hours. In battery-management terms, that is a sensible approach, since long periods at full charge can add wear over time.
The MagGo Power Bank Pro 2 is positioned as a premium accessory rather than a budget add-on. It is priced at $109.99, with reports from Ubergizmo, 9to5Toys and Notebookcheck pointing to launch discounts in some markets. The unit is described as a 10,000mAh model in those reports, weighs 220g, and supports MagSafe iPhones from the 12 series through the 18 series. Anker is offering it in Phantom Grey, Starlight Silver and Polar Night Blue.
