Anker has launched a limited-time deal in Japan for its feature-rich Soundcore Liberty 5 true wireless earbuds, now available at ¥11,990, bringing advanced noise cancellation, high-res audio support, and impressive battery life to the mid-range market.
Anker’s Soundcore Liberty 5 true wireless earphones are being sold on Amazon in a limited-time deal in Japan for ¥11,990, down from a reference price of ¥14,990, according to ASCII. The promotion puts a feature-rich model into the lower end of the mid-range market, where active noise cancellation, high-resolution audio support and battery life are often traded against one another.
The Liberty 5’s headline upgrades include adaptive noise cancellation, Dolby Audio and LDAC support, plus a new bass-reflex acoustic design that Anker says is a first for its true wireless range. On the company’s product page, the earbuds are listed with 9.2mm wool-paper diaphragm drivers, multipoint connectivity and custom EQ settings through the Soundcore app. Anker also says the noise cancelling system adjusts frequently to changing ambient sound.
Battery life is another strong point. Anker says the earbuds last up to 12 hours on a single charge and up to 48 hours with the case, while a 10-minute top-up can add five hours of listening. The case supports wireless charging, and the earbuds carry an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance. PC Gamer and SoundGuys both noted that the Liberty 5 combine fast charging with a long total runtime, although their reviews also pointed to some trade-offs in sound balance and control responsiveness.
That mix of strengths and compromises has defined much of the wider coverage. HeadphoneCheck described the Liberty 5 as bass-forward with effective ANC and useful multipoint support, but said the tuning can feel uneven and transparency mode is less natural than some rivals. TechRadar and Tom’s Guide similarly praised the value on offer, particularly for listeners who like customisable sound and strong feature sets at a modest price, while noting that the touch controls and design are not flawless.
