Apple has expanded its Made for iPhone hearing device list by adding 43 models across 22 brands, enhancing compatibility and bidirectional streaming features for a broader range of users across Apple devices.
Apple has expanded its Made for iPhone hearing device list again, adding 43 models across 22 brands and pushing the official total to 623 supported devices from 104 brands. The company’s compatibility pages say the programme is designed to let users pair hearing devices with iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Vision Pro for audio streaming and control features.
The latest update adds a mix of familiar and newly listed brands. Among the new entries are Bellson, MicroSom, Panasonic, RION and Yeasound, alongside additional models from Afflelou, Audibel, Audigy, Bernafon, Maico, MED-EL, NuEar, Oticon, Starkey and Widex. Apple marks certain models with an asterisk to indicate bidirectional streaming, a function that lets users carry on hands-free conversations through the hearing device.
Apple also revised several existing listings to show broader support for bidirectional streaming, including Bernafon’s Entra A X, Pro Akustik’s Ineo A X and SoniTon’s Ineo A X. In another change that may matter to Mac users, the company added the MacBook Neo to the system requirements for both unidirectional and bidirectional streaming, with support beginning on macOS Tahoe 26.
The update sits within a wider hearing-accessibility effort from Apple. Its support materials explain how users can check compatibility, pair hearing devices and manage them from Apple hardware, while recent AirPods hearing-health features have broadened the company’s pitch in this area. Still, the MFi list remains the main reference point for people choosing a dedicated hearing device that works directly with Apple products.
