Apple has extended its 40W Dynamic Power Adapter to multiple European countries, featuring faster charging and regional plug variations, following the launch of new Mac models and reflecting regional segmentation in its charging lineup.
Apple has widened the reach of its 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with 60W Max, bringing the compact charger to Vietnam and to a broad set of European markets that use the two-pin Type C Europlug. The move follows the recent roll-out of new Mac Studio and Mac mini models, and extends availability beyond the earlier US and Type G versions.
The updated adapter keeps Apple’s retractable two-prong design, with the pins folding into the casing for easier packing. In Europe, it is now listed in Austria, Belgium, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey. In most eurozone countries, Apple is charging €45.
Despite being the same physical size as Apple’s 20W charger, the new adapter is built for faster output. It can deliver 40W continuously and briefly rise to 60W, which Apple says helps reduce charging time for supported devices. That includes the iPhone 17 range, the iPhone Air and iPad Pro models.
The expansion also underlines how Apple is segmenting its charger line by regional plug type. A Type G version with folding three-prong pins was introduced in November 2025 for markets including the UK, Ireland, the UAE, Singapore, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia and Malaysia, while the original Type A version arrived in September 2025 alongside the iPhone 17 launch.
