Apple’s AirPods Pro 3 drop below €200 amid renewed price competition and new features

A recent Amazon discount has brought the premium AirPods Pro 3 below the €200 mark, adding new features like a heart-rate sensor and enhanced noise cancellation amid intensified market competition.

Apple’s AirPods Pro 3 remain one of the clearest benchmarks in premium true wireless audio, and a recent Amazon discount has made them harder to ignore. Frandroid reports that the earbuds are selling for €198, down from a launch price of €249, putting them back below the psychologically important €200 mark.

The case for them is not just about price. The third generation keeps the familiar stemmed design, but Apple has refined the fit and slightly enlarged the shells to accommodate new components and improve acoustics. RTINGS says the earbuds also introduce a heart-rate sensor, while adding to the already strong noise cancellation and sound quality that have defined the Pro line.

That active noise cancellation is a major part of their appeal. Apple’s latest model is widely described as offering markedly stronger noise suppression than its predecessor, particularly against voices, low-frequency noise and general background din. MacRumors reported several US price drops through 2026, including a low of $179 in June, which suggests Apple’s premium buds have repeatedly been pushed into more competitive territory as retailers clear stock.

For iPhone, iPad and Mac users, the AirPods Pro 3 still offer the most complete experience. Features such as instant pairing, automatic device switching and spatial audio with head tracking remain tied closely to Apple’s own hardware and software ecosystem. RTINGS also notes that the tuning has changed from the previous model and that there is still no conventional equaliser, despite Apple’s broader push into personalised audio features.
