Best Buy and other retailers slash the price of the new AirPods Pro 3 to $189.99, matching Amazon and Walmart deals, marking their lowest point since June and highlighting strong consumer demand for Apple’s flagship earbuds amid ongoing discounts.
Best Buy has opened a wider Apple sale that includes the AirPods Pro 3 at $189.99, a $60 cut that also appears to be matched by Amazon and Walmart. According to The Verge, the latest discount returns Apple’s flagship wireless earbuds to their lowest price since Prime Day in late June and puts them just $20 above their record low.
The price drop is notable because the AirPods Pro 3 are still relatively new. MacRumors reported that Apple launched the earbuds in September 2025 at $249, and that the first major discounts arrived later that year and into early 2026. Best Buy has already used the model as a draw in earlier promotions, including member reward offers and short-lived flash sales, suggesting the retailer has been willing to lean on the earbuds to anchor its Apple deals.
The AirPods Pro 3 have also been well received on their own merits. Macworld’s review said the earbuds bring a more secure fit, stronger noise cancellation, improved audio and a heart rate sensor that works with Apple Fitness. The same review noted a trade-off: the charging case does not hold as much power as before. Even so, the overall package has been described as a meaningful upgrade at the same price Apple charged for the previous generation.
For iPhone users, the appeal goes beyond sound quality. The earbuds sync smoothly across Apple devices, which makes it easy to move from a call on an iPhone to a video on an iPad. Apple also built in live translation for in-person conversations and support for more than 50 workout types through the Fitness app, giving the AirPods Pro 3 a broader role than a standard pair of wireless earbuds. For shoppers already in the Apple ecosystem, that combination of features is what keeps them near the top of many recommendation lists.
