ASUS Republic of Gamers unveils the Gjallar, a compact gaming soundbar featuring Dolby Atmos, flexible connectivity, and customisable audio and lighting controls, designed for a streamlined desk setup across PC and console gaming.
ASUS Republic of Gamers has introduced the Gjallar, a compact gaming soundbar aimed at users who want a cleaner desk setup without giving up spatial audio. The company says the unit is built around 2.1.2 Dolby Atmos sound, combining left and right full-range drivers, tweeters, up-firing channels and a wireless subwoofer to create a more layered sound field for games, film and music.
The Gjallar also acts as a control centre for audio and lighting. According to ASUS, users can adjust equaliser settings, playback, input sources and RGB lighting from the bar itself, while built-in acoustic echo cancellation microphones are designed to keep voice chat clear. The soundbar can connect through USB-C, HDMI 2.1 eARC, optical, AUX or Bluetooth 5.3, making it suitable for PCs, consoles and other devices.
ASUS says the system is intended to deliver both cinematic bass and tactical clarity. The company’s product pages describe the up-firing speakers as helping to add vertical depth, while the subwoofer is meant to strengthen low-end effects such as explosions and engine noise. A built-in USB hub is also listed on the product page, adding another layer of convenience for desk-based setups.
Customisation is handled through the Gear Link PC tool and a mobile app, which ASUS says can be used to fine-tune sound, lighting and microphone settings. In the Philippines, the ROG Gjallar is due to go on sale in September 2026 at a suggested retail price of PHP 33,490.
