Belkin’s BoostCharge car mount is being promoted as a practical two-in-one accessory for iPhone drivers, combining a magnetic holder with wireless charging in a single unit. According to Applesfera, Amazon is currently listing it at €34.99, positioning it as a relatively affordable way to add MagSafe-style mounting to a car with a 12V socket. The appeal is straightforward: one accessory to keep the phone visible, secure and charged during a journey.
The mount is designed to clip into a vehicle’s air vent and draw power from the car’s cigarette-lighter socket, with the necessary adapter included in the box. That makes installation simple, but also means it is only suitable for cars that still have that type of power outlet. Belkin says the charger supports easy magnetic alignment and can be used in either portrait or landscape orientation, which is useful for navigation and hands-free calls.
There is, however, a difference between the charging figure cited by Applesfera and the specification on Belkin’s own product pages. Belkin lists the magnetic wireless charging car mount as delivering up to 15W and as being compatible with Qi2 devices, as well as iPhones from the iPhone 12 onwards. The company also says the package includes a 27W car adapter and USB-C cable, and that the product uses recycled plastic and carries a two-year warranty plus a connected-equipment guarantee.
For buyers, the key point is that this is best seen as a convenience accessory rather than a high-speed charger. It is aimed at drivers who want a neat magnetic hold, simple one-handed placement and enough power to top up the battery while using maps or streaming audio. If a vehicle lacks a compatible power socket, or if faster charging is the priority, the better choice would be a more powerful in-car wireless charger.
