Caseplay, operated by FOX, launches a comprehensive new BUDOG collection featuring customisable, eco-conscious tech accessories for over 170 device models, including cases, wallets, and art panels, with a focus on sustainability and functional design.
Caseplay, the smartphone-accessory brand operated by FOX, has added BUDOG to its customisable device range, extending the character across cases and other everyday tech items. According to the company’s announcement, the collection went on sale on 17 August and covers more than 170 device models, including iPhone, Xperia, Pixel and Galaxy handsets.
The line-up is broader than a standard phone-case drop. It includes eight product types: slim protection cases, slim protection premium cases, premium square cases, premium panels, earphone cases, premium card wallets, premium ring stands, PC cases, tablet cases, art panel speakers and art panels. Five designs are available, ranging from restrained options to brighter, more playful artwork.
BUDOG is the signature character of DOKU-TOKU inc. and was created around a stripped-back idea of a block-like, minimal dog. The character was developed by Okinawa-based creator Hideki Shiroma, who has also worked on mascot and character content for sports teams and other projects. The new Caseplay collection focuses on the character’s core designs, aiming to place the mascot on functional accessories that can be used in daily life.
The slim protection case is made entirely from post-consumer recycled plastic, which Caseplay says is intended to reduce environmental impact. It also uses air-pocket corners to help absorb impact. Caseplay is also selling its CARE service, which adds screen-break compensation for 365 days when a phone case is bought together with a protective glass sheet priced at ¥2,480. The latest launch follows a series of Caseplay collaborations this year, including anime and sports tie-ins, as the brand continues to expand its catalogue of device-specific accessories.
