CIO's semi-solid-state battery powers faster and safer wireless charging in Slim II portable battery

CIO has launched the SMARTCOBY SLIM II, a compact 10,000mAh mobile battery featuring semi-solid-state cells for enhanced safety and support for Qi2.2 magnetic wireless charging at up to 25W, marking a notable advancement in portable power technology.

CIO’s SMARTCOBY SLIM II Wireless2.2 Pro SS10K is a compact 10,000mAh mobile battery that aims to combine portability with stronger safety characteristics than conventional lithium-ion packs. The device uses a semi-solid-state battery cell, which CIO says is intended to improve resistance to heat and physical stress, while keeping the form factor slim enough for everyday carry.

Its main selling point is support for Qi2.2 magnetic wireless charging at up to 25W, a level that puts it among the faster wireless charging accessories now appearing on the market. Wired charging is also available through USB-C at up to 35W, which means the battery can serve phones, tablets and some lightweight laptops as well as MagSafe-style handsets. When lower temperatures are more important than speed, the wireless output can be reduced to 7.5W.

According to the product information, the battery measures roughly 102 x 70 x 14mm to 17mm depending on the source, and weighs about 200g to 225g. It uses an aluminium alloy body, includes a display that shows charge remaining in 1% steps, and supports full pass-through charging, allowing the battery and a connected device to be charged at the same time.

ASCII Japan reported that the SMARTCOBY SLIM II was selling for 8,580 yen on Amazon Japan as of 17 August. Other Japanese product listings placed the launch in April 2026 and cited a price around 8,280 yen, suggesting retail pricing may vary by seller and timing. For buyers comparing mobile batteries, the model stands out chiefly for pairing magnetic 25W wireless charging with a semi-solid-state cell, a combination aimed at users who value both convenience and a greater margin of safety.
