CMF has launched Clip Pro, its first open-ear earphones, blending comfort, sound quality, and advanced noise control features to appeal to commuters, office workers, and active users seeking all-day wear and situational awareness.
CMF has unveiled Clip Pro, its first open-ear earphones, in a move that extends the Nothing offshoot further into a category built around situational awareness and all-day wear. The company is targeting commuters, office workers and active users who want to keep listening without sealing themselves off from the outside world. Technology site T3 and What Hi-Fi both said the launch centres on the balance between comfort and full-bodied sound, which remains one of the hardest problems for open-ear designs to solve.
The hardware is built around a three-point clip system and a slim C-bridge with an elastic titanium wire core, which CMF says helps spread pressure more evenly around the ear. Each earphone weighs 5.9 grams, and the compact acoustic module is shaped to sit close to the ear while directing sound towards the ear canal. According to What Hi-Fi and TechRadar, the Clip Pro also uses a 10.8mm dual-magnet dynamic driver, paired with CMF’s Ultra Bass Technology to reinforce low frequencies that are often weaker in open-ear products. The earphones carry Hi-Res Audio certification and support LDAC, AAC and SBC for compatible devices.
CMF has also focused on call quality and leakage control. The company says its Clear Voice Technology uses voice pickup units and four microphones to separate speech from background noise in busy places such as streets, cafés and offices. TechRadar reported that CMF combines that with a Sound Seal system intended to reduce how much audio escapes to people nearby. The case-mounted Smart Dial remains a defining feature of the brand’s design language, letting users adjust volume, control playback, answer calls and pair devices without opening a phone, while the earbuds themselves retain physical controls for use in the rain or with gloves.
Battery life is quoted at up to 10 hours per charge and 32.5 hours including the case, with a 10-minute top-up said to deliver four hours of listening. The specification list also includes Bluetooth 5.4, dual-device connection, low-latency mode for gaming, Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair and an IP54 rating for the earbuds. Retail coverage from T3, What Hi-Fi and TechRadar places the price at £79 or $99, with availability beginning in August and a wider rollout following in September. The colour options are Dark Grey, Light Grey and Coral.
