Yandex Factory’s latest Core Plus 65W charger combines compact design, built-in cable, and multiple ports, challenging traditional multi-adapters with its GaN technology and efficient power delivery, ideal for on-the-go device management.
Commo’s Core Plus 65W is Yandex Factory’s latest attempt to make one charger do the work of several. The appeal is straightforward: a compact adapter with a retractable USB-C lead, enough output for a laptop as well as phones and tablets, and enough ports to keep a small set of devices topped up without reaching for multiple bricks. In practice, that makes it a neat answer to the clutter that tends to build up around desks, bedside tables and travel bags.
The design is one of the charger’s strongest points. Computerra says the grey-green casing has a matte finish that resists fingerprints, while the built-in USB-C cable extends to 65cm and retracts into the body when not in use. The cable is reinforced with a rubberised sleeve, and a magnetic tip helps keep it neatly stowed. The charger itself is relatively small at 50 x 35 x 111mm, and includes one USB-C port plus one USB-A port alongside the integrated lead, allowing three devices to charge at once.
According to Commo, the charger uses GaN components, a technology widely used to improve power efficiency and reduce size in higher-output adapters. The company says the 65W model supports USB Power Delivery and Quick Charge 3.0, with built-in protection against overheating, overload and short circuits. Commo also claims the charger can safely detect when a device is full and stop delivering power, which is meant to reduce stress on connected hardware. The product page says the charger is intended for travel, long commutes and everyday carry.
Computerra’s testing suggested the charger handled a tablet, a handheld console and a phone without notable heat or connection problems, although power is naturally shared across devices when all three are connected. The only obvious drawback is that the integrated cable cannot be replaced if it is damaged. Even so, the overall package is compelling for anyone who wants a single charger for mixed device use, particularly in an office or during business travel. Russian media reports say Commo has also broadened the Core Plus line with 35W, 45W and 67W variants, all following the same general idea of built-in cabling and reduced clutter.
