Elecom introduces the DST-N071BPBK, a compact, magnetic docking station designed for easily connecting peripherals across multiple devices and workspaces, supporting 4K HDMI output and fast data transfer.
Elecom has added a new compact docking station to its MAGKEEP range, targeting users who move between desks, meeting rooms and cafés and want a more portable way to keep peripherals attached to a laptop or phone. The DST-N071BPBK is on sale in Japan for ¥8,980 and uses a supplied magnetic ring so the unit can be fixed to the back of a notebook computer or smartphone rather than left loose in a bag or on a table.
The company’s seven-in-one design combines USB-A and USB Type-C data ports, a charging USB Type-C port, HDMI output, a 3.5mm four-pole audio jack, and slots for both SD and microSD cards. Elecom says this allows users to leave accessories such as a USB memory stick or mouse receiver connected while moving between workspaces, reducing the need to disconnect and reconnect devices each time.
For display output, the dock supports HDMI at up to 4K resolution and 60Hz, making it suitable for a dual-screen setup with an external monitor. Power delivery over USB Type-C is rated at up to 100W input, although the unit itself draws 10W, leaving 90W available for connected equipment. An AC adapter is not included, so buyers need to provide their own charger.
Elecom also positions the device as a practical media-transfer tool. The SD and microSD slots can be used at the same time, which should help with importing camera footage or moving files from a smartphone. The company says the dock supports USB 5Gbps transfer speeds, while the aluminium housing is intended to balance heat dissipation and finish quality. It measures about 60×17×70mm, weighs roughly 65g, and ships in black with a power cable and magnetic ring. Compatibility is listed for Windows 11 and 10, macOS Tahoe 26, iOS 26, Android 16 and iPadOS 26, although Elecom warns that some functions may depend on the USB Type-C port specification and the connected device.
