Epomaker has launched the GX1, a competitively priced gaming headset featuring multiple connectivity options, open-back design, and long battery life, targeting budget-conscious gamers seeking immersive sound at an affordable price.
Epomaker has entered the budget gaming headset market with the GX1, a model priced at $49.99 and launched with a special introductory price of $44.99 for buyers in China. The headset is aimed at users who want multiple connection options and a more open sound than is typical at this price, according to the company’s product listing.
The GX1 uses 50mm dynamic drivers and is specified for a 20Hz to 20kHz frequency range with total harmonic distortion below 3%. Its open-back earcup design is intended to let air and sound pass more freely through the rear of the cups, which should widen the soundstage and make it easier to place in-game audio cues. Epomaker says the headset weighs 320g and includes a seven-step adjustable headband, breathable leather ear pads and an external finish with RGB lighting.
Connectivity is one of the GX1’s main selling points. The headset supports 2.4GHz wireless with a claimed 25ms latency, Bluetooth with 34ms to 200ms latency and wired USB-C use.
