Google has launched the PixelSnap, a magnetic wireless charger tailored for Pixel 10 series, offering a more accurate fit and faster charging for Qi2-compatible Pixel phones.
Google has added a magnetic wireless charger to its Pixelsnap range, bringing a more precise fit to Pixel phones that support Qi2. The charger uses magnets to draw itself into position on the back of the handset, reducing the need to line up coils by hand and starting charging as soon as it connects.
According to Google’s Store listing, the Pixelsnap Charger is designed for the Pixel 10 family, including the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Google says it also works with other Qi2-certified devices, although its support pages note that it is not recommended for earlier Pixel models or for Pixel Buds Pro 1 and 2.
Charging performance depends on the phone and power adapter. Google says the Pixel 10 Pro XL can reach up to 25W wireless charging when paired with a USB-C adapter rated at 35W or more, while other compatible devices charge at up to 15W. The company recommends a USB-PD adapter, such as its 45W USB-C charger, for the best results.
The hardware itself is simple. Google says the charger includes a built-in 1m USB-C cable, measures 56mm across and weighs 54.5g, making it small enough for travel as well as desk use. It is listed at £39.99 on the Google Store, positioning it as a relatively low-cost way to add magnetic wireless charging to supported devices.
