Noise sells 10,000 open-ear Master Buds in first hour as Gaana bundle targets India’s audio market

Noise says its Bose-developed open-ear earbuds sold 10,000 units in their first hour, while a new Rs 1,399 Gaana Edition adds a year of premium music streaming.

Noise said its Master Buds Open sold 10,000 units in the first hour after going on sale on 27 October, a brisk start that the company presented as evidence of rising demand for open-ear audio products in India. The launch comes as brands increasingly target users who want wireless earbuds that leave the ear canal unobstructed, combining comfort with greater awareness of surrounding sounds.

The Master Buds Open are positioned as Noise’s premium open-ear model and were developed with Bose, according to the company’s launch material. The earbuds use an open-ear C-bridge design with clip-on ear hooks, 10.8mm custom dynamic drivers and Sound by Bose tuning with Dynamic EQ. Noise says the model supports up to 28 hours of total playback with the charging case, along with Bluetooth 5.4, Google Fast Pair and dual-device connectivity. It also includes four-microphone environmental noise cancellation, an anti-wind mic, IPX4 splash resistance and support for the Noise Audio app, which adds equaliser controls, spatial audio, transcription tools and a Chat AI assistant.

Separately, Noise has introduced the Buds R1 Gaana Edition in India at Rs 1,399. Moneycontrol and other technology outlets reported that the bundle includes a complimentary one-year Gaana Plus subscription valued at Rs 799, which adds ad-free listening, offline downloads and HD audio. The earbuds themselves feature 11mm drivers, up to 40 hours of combined playback, quad-mic ENC, Bluetooth 5.3, IPX5 resistance and InstaCharge support that the company says can deliver 120 minutes of playback from a 10-minute charge.

The Gaana partnership also points to a broader distribution and marketing push. According to reports from Web News Wire and ET Now, the two companies expect the collaboration to reach 2.5 million consumers by the end of 2026. The Buds R1 Gaana Edition is available through Noise’s own sales channels and Gaana’s platform, while the Master Buds Open is on sale through Noise and authorised retail partners, including Amazon.
