OPPO launches the Enco Clip2, a premium open-ear earbud with a secure design, AI features, and customised audio tuning by Dynaudio, aiming to redefine comfort and sound quality in its category.
OPPO’s Enco Clip2 is the company’s latest attempt to make open-ear audio feel more practical and more premium. Best known for smartphones, the Chinese electronics group has increasingly pushed into accessories, and the Clip2 sits squarely in the growing category of clip-style earbuds designed to rest around the outer ear rather than seal inside it. OPPO says the model combines a unibody ear cuff, a shape-memory Ni-Ti arc and AI-powered features, while audio tuning comes from Dynaudio.
That design is the product’s main selling point. The review describes the earbuds as unusually secure and comfortable, especially for users who struggle with in-ear fit or dislike the feeling of buds pressing into the ear canal. The clip mechanism is meant to keep each side stable during movement, and OPPO’s own materials frame the form factor as an “EarHug” style fit built for all-day wear. Gizguide reported that the model has also been certified by TÜV Rheinland for comfort after testing on more than 3,500 human ears.
Sound appears to be the other half of the pitch. According to OPPO and other launch coverage, the Enco Clip2 uses Dynaudio collaboration and a dual-driver setup, including 11mm and 9mm units, to produce a more balanced presentation than many open-ear rivals. StereoNet said the tuning is intended to deliver a more natural, live-like character, while the hands-on review found the bass unusually strong for this type of earbud and the overall output clean enough for films and music alike.
Battery life is competitive too. The review says the earbuds can last about 9.5 hours on their own, with total reserve rising to around 40 hours when the charging case is included. Full charging takes roughly 60 to 80 minutes. The main drawback is price: the review places the earbuds at $399 NZD through OPPO’s own store, which puts them firmly in premium territory. Even so, for buyers who value comfort, a secure fit and open-ear convenience, the Enco Clip2 looks like one of OPPO’s more convincing audio products.
