ORICO has introduced a 7-in-1 travel power strip featuring GaN technology, combining portability with fast charging capabilities suitable for travellers and office workers facing limited wall sockets.
ORICO has unveiled a 7-in-1 travel power strip built around a retractable cable and GaN, or gallium nitride, charging technology, pitching it at travellers, office workers and anyone dealing with limited wall sockets. The device combines three AC outlets with four USB ports and is designed to power up to seven devices at once, according to the company. It sits in a product category that has become increasingly popular as more users carry a phone, tablet, laptop and wireless accessories on the move.
The unit is built to be portable. ORICO says the power cord stores inside the body, which helps keep the cable tidy after use, while a bundled strap is meant to stop tangling during transport. The case measures roughly 115 x 58 x 42 mm and the plug is described as a slim flat design, making it easier to fit behind furniture or in tight spaces. iLounge also noted that the plug is angled to improve use in cramped areas.
Charging performance is the key feature. The USB-C port supports USB Power Delivery at up to 65W, which ORICO says is enough to charge a MacBook Pro to 50% in about 37 minutes. The port layout includes two USB-A and two USB-C connections, alongside the AC sockets. That allows the strip to handle a mix of smartphones, tablets, earphones and notebooks at the same time, with the company and third-party product listings both framing it as a single compact hub for travel and desk use.
ORICO also says the device includes overcurrent, overvoltage, overheating and short-circuit protection. The housing uses a flame-retardant PC material and the product is PSE-certified for the Japanese market. ORICO says it comes with an 18-month quality support period. In Japan, the company is also running a limited-time Amazon promotion from August 12 to August 19, combining a 10% page discount with a 20% coupon code to bring the price down from ¥4,990 to ¥3,493.
