POVA's AI Buds Pro introduces productivity-focused features to India’s wireless earbud market

POVA has launched the AI Buds Pro in India, prioritising recording, transcription, and translation capabilities over traditional music playback, signalling a new trend in smart audio devices.

POVA has moved into India’s audio market with the AI Buds Pro, a true wireless model built around recording, transcription and translation tools rather than only music playback. The company says the earbuds can capture conversations, generate meeting summaries, build to-do lists and translate speech across 78 languages. It is a notable shift in a crowded segment where most recent launches have focused on battery life, noise cancellation or codecs, not AI-first productivity features.

The earbuds come with a dual-tone charging case and a dedicated red Quick Note button for instant recording. POVA says the buds use a 8-microphone array with a voice pickup unit, or VPU, and support hybrid active noise cancellation rated at up to 48dB. The AI functions include real-time transcription and summarisation, while the Quick Note feature can store audio on the device for up to 4 hours.

POVA is also positioning the product as a privacy-conscious device. The company says users keep ownership and control of recordings, transcripts and summaries, and that conversation data is not used to train external AI models without permission. The AI Buds Pro also carry IP55 protection, dual-device pairing, USB Type-C charging and Qi wireless charging, with a claimed total battery life of up to 40 hours.

The pricing places the model above several recent Indian audio launches. POVA has set the list price at ₹14,999, with an introductory price of ₹12,499. The launch offer also includes a ₹1,000 bank discount and no-cost EMI for up to nine months. Sales begin on August 22 at 12 noon through Flipkart and Amazon India.
