Razer’s Kraken Kitty V3 makes stream reactions part of the headset

Razer’s latest cat-ear headset combines reactive Chroma RGB lighting, USB-C connectivity and streaming-focused features in a $99.99 wired model.

Razer has added a new version of its cat-ear gaming headset to the Kraken Kitty line, positioning the Kraken Kitty V3 for streamers and players who want a more distinctive visual identity on camera. The wired model keeps the familiar feline silhouette but adds reactive lighting and a USB-C connection, according to the company’s product listing and the Portuguese report from TugaTech.

In the United States, Razer has set the headset at $99.99, while its European listings show a price of €109.99. The headset is designed for plug-and-play use over USB-C with PCs and mobile devices, and Razer says it is also compatible with Mac, PlayStation consoles and USB-C handheld devices. The fixed cable can be connected to a power bank, which gives the lighting system a degree of portability for conventions or off-desk use.

The visual side is built around Razer Chroma RGB, which powers the illuminated ears and outer cups. According to Razer, the lighting can react to live stream events through the Streamer Companion app, including alerts, emotes and chat activity. The headset also includes three onboard lighting presets, allowing users to switch effects without opening software, a detail highlighted in reports from More Magazine and TechTesters.

On the audio side, Razer says the headset uses 40 mm TriForce drivers and supports 7.1 surround sound, a combination intended to separate sound cues more clearly in games. Voice capture is handled by a HyperClear cardioid microphone, which is designed to reduce background noise and keep speech intelligible. Hybrid fabric and leatherette cushions are included for longer sessions, reflecting the product’s focus on comfort as well as appearance.
