Satechi has unveiled a 240W desktop charger with real-time wattage display and flexible power distribution, providing a powerful solution for users with multiple USB-C devices.
Satechi has expanded its ChargeView range with a 240W desktop charger aimed at users who need more headroom than a standard wall adaptor can provide. The unit sits on a desk and connects to mains power via a cable, giving it the form factor of a small charging hub rather than a plug-in brick.
The new model follows Satechi’s earlier 200W six-port GaN charger and keeps the all-USB-C layout. According to Satechi’s support material, the top two ports support USB Power Delivery 3.2 with AVS and can each reach 140W, making them suitable for high-demand laptops such as a 16-inch MacBook Pro. Two further ports are rated at 100W, while the last pair can supply 30W each.
In practice, the charger cannot deliver maximum output to every port at once. Satechi says the total combined ceiling is 240W, with power distributed dynamically according to what is connected. That means the strongest realistic pairings are 140W plus 100W, or combinations such as 100W plus 100W, 140W plus 30W, or lower-output mixes depending on device demand.
The company also says the charger includes a digital display that shows real-time wattage, along with thermal status, and can be positioned horizontally or vertically with the included stand. MacRumors reported that the unit is fanless, uses GaN technology and comes in Space Black, with a US price of $149.99. For households or workstations with several USB-C devices, it offers a neater and more flexible alternative to multiple separate chargers.
