Satechi’s new ChargeView charger boosts power output to 240W with six USB-C ports and real-time LCD readout

Satechi unveils a higher-capacity ChargeView desktop charger featuring 240W output, six USB-C ports, and an LCD display, promising enhanced compatibility and efficient power distribution for multiple devices.

Satechi has expanded its ChargeView desktop charger line with a higher-capacity model that pushes total output to 240W and adds six USB-C ports. The new unit also keeps the family’s LCD read-out, which shows real-time power draw on each active port, and uses gallium nitride, or GaN, components for a more compact charging design.

The charger’s top two ports, C1 and C2, can each deliver up to 140W under USB Power Delivery 3.2, including Extended Power Range and Adjustable Voltage Supply support. That makes them suitable for high-demand USB-C notebooks. The middle pair, C3 and C4, are rated at 100W apiece, while C5 and C6 are limited to 30W each and use USB PD 3.0 with Programmable Power Supply support. In practice, the charger is designed to spread power dynamically across several devices at once rather than reserve its full output for a single connection.

Satechi has kept the industrial design close to the earlier ChargeView 140W model. According to the company’s support documentation for that device, the line is built around a smart LCD, a modular stand and safety protections against over-voltage, over-current, overheating and short circuits. The new 240W version arrives in Space Black with a matte metal finish and a glossy screen cover, and it can sit either upright or flat on a desk.

The broader compatibility profile also mirrors the first ChargeView charger, which Satechi says works with USB-C laptops, tablets and phones from Apple, Samsung, Google, Dell, HP, Lenovo and others, as well as devices such as the Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck. The 240W desktop charger is now listed through Satechi and Amazon in the United States for $149.99, according to The Gadgeteer and MacMagazine.
