The latest Momentum True Wireless 5 earbuds launch in Singapore, featuring user-replaceable batteries, improved active noise cancellation, and Dolby Atmos support, setting a new standard for premium wireless audio.
Sennheiser’s Momentum True Wireless 5 has gone on pre-order in Singapore at S$479, with the company’s own store saying shipments will begin on 3 September 2026. The listing covers five finishes , Graphite, Cream, Copper, Denim and Lavender , and the price is shown as the recommended retail figure rather than a launch discount. Challenger Singapore is already undercutting that figure, however, listing selected colours at S$455.05 and attaching a S$30 cashback offer.
The new model arrives as a clear successor to the Momentum True Wireless 4, but not as a simple refresh. Sennheiser has kept the 7mm TrueResponse dynamic driver, yet has moved from Bluetooth 5.4 to 6.0 and raised quoted battery life in the case from 30 hours to 40 hours, even as the company’s published ANC-on figure for the buds slips from seven hours to six. The new version also adds a fourth microphone per earbud and a bone-conduction voice accelerometer, which should improve call pickup in difficult environments.
Sennheiser’s Singapore product page also highlights one of the most unusual changes in the true wireless market: user-replaceable batteries in both the earbuds and the charging case. The company says the cells can be swapped at home with standard tools, and it includes a battery replacement tool in the box. The published capacities are 72mAh per earbud and 760mAh for the case, with USB-C charging rated at up to 5W and Qi wireless charging support. Sennheiser says an eight-minute charge delivers about an hour of playback, while a full charge takes around 1.5 hours.
On the feature side, the Momentum True Wireless 5 adds Dolby Atmos spatial audio and an eight-band equaliser in the Smart Control Plus app. That marks a step up from the five-band EQ listed for the previous generation. IP54 protection still applies only to the earbuds, not the case. Sennheiser has not yet published a local spare-battery price or a separate replacement SKU on its Singapore page, and the store also does not spell out a local warranty term.
