Sharge unveils the Disk Pro 2, a versatile USB-C accessory merging an M.2 NVMe SSD enclosure with a 6-in-1 docking station, offering expanded storage and port options for slim devices and gaming PCs.
Sharge has introduced the Disk Pro 2, a compact USB-C accessory that combines an M.2 NVMe SSD enclosure with a 6-in-1 docking station for laptops, handheld gaming PCs and other slim devices. According to XiaomiToday, the device is aimed at users who need both expandable storage and a fuller port selection without carrying separate peripherals.
The enclosure accepts replaceable M.2 NVMe drives in 2230, 2242 and 2280 formats, with support for capacities of up to 8TB depending on the SSD fitted. That makes it more flexible than fixed-capacity portable storage, since users can upgrade the drive later rather than replacing the whole unit. Sharge also includes a screwdriver for installation, reflecting the product’s modular design.
On the connectivity side, the Disk Pro 2 includes two USB-C ports, one USB-A port, HDMI output, plus SD and microSD card readers. Sharge says the unit supports up to 100W USB Power Delivery input and up to 80W output, so it can sit between a charger and a connected device while still acting as a hub.
Performance is rated at up to 10Gbps, although real-world speeds will depend on the drive, host device and cable used. The company also says the active cooling system is designed to keep the SSD below 45°C under its test conditions. A 12,000rpm fan is built in, with Auto, Turbo and Off modes.
Two variants are listed. The Disk Pro 2 Lite supports HDMI up to 4K at 60Hz, while the Ultra model is specified for up to 4K at 144Hz or 8K at 30Hz. Sharge also says the Ultra version delivers faster card-reader performance, at up to 180MB/s read and 120MB/s write.
On its official website, Sharge lists the Disk Pro 2 Lite Standard Combo at $73.90. The company is taking pre-orders, with shipping due to begin after 30 September 2026. Final pricing will vary depending on the version and bundle selected.
For buyers of ultraportable laptops and Windows handhelds, the appeal is clear: one accessory can add storage, ports, card readers and display output at the same time. That makes the Disk Pro 2 closer to a hybrid dock than a conventional external SSD enclosure.
