Shelly unveils advanced control products to bridge smart home and industrial systems

Shelly expands its portfolio with four new products, offering enhanced control over lighting, energy management, and building systems for residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

Shelly has broadened its smart home and automation line-up with four new products aimed at installers, integrators and end users looking for tighter control over lighting, energy use and building systems. According to the company’s product pages, the launch centres on a wall-mounted display, a motion sensor, a smart circuit breaker range and an RS485 expansion module designed to link Shelly hardware with industrial and commercial control platforms.

The Shelly Wall Display X1i is positioned as a control hub for connected devices and energy monitoring. Shelly says it combines a 4-inch colour touchscreen with an integrated relay, plus proximity, gesture and light sensors. The unit also supports Wi-Fi 6 dual band and Bluetooth 5.0, and is intended for residential, multi-dwelling, light commercial, government and education settings.

For automated lighting and occupancy detection, the BLU Motion ZB pairs Zigbee 3.0 with Bluetooth 5 LE and uses passive infrared sensing to detect movement. Shelly says the compact sensor also measures ambient light, allows adjustable sensitivity and threshold settings, and runs on a CR2477 battery that can last up to five years. The device is designed for tool-free installation with adhesive mounting.

The remaining two products focus on electrical distribution and system integration. Shelly’s PRO CB range combines circuit protection, remote switching and real-time monitoring in a DIN rail-mounted format, with one- to four-pole versions available and support for Wi-Fi, Ethernet and Bluetooth. The PRO Modbus Add-on RS485 extends compatible Shelly PRO devices so they can connect with building management, energy management, PLC, SCADA and HVAC systems using RS485 and Modbus RTU.
