Tecno launches the Pova AI Buds Pro, true wireless earbuds featuring real-time speech transcription, meeting summarisation, and multi-language translation, merging audio and productivity in a lightweight design.
Tecno has expanded its Pova line with the AI Buds Pro, true wireless earbuds built around speech tools rather than audio alone. The company says the model can transcribe speech in real time, generate meeting summaries and translate across as many as 78 languages, turning the earbuds into a lightweight productivity device as much as a listening accessory.
A charging-case button marked Quick Note starts recording without needing a phone, while the earbuds themselves store audio on device. Tecno says they can record continuously for up to four hours, a useful detail for meetings and interviews where phone access is awkward. The company is clearly leaning into the same AI-led positioning it has used across its recent Pova range, which has also centred on battery life, design and gaming features.
Tecno says each earbud includes four microphones and hybrid active noise cancellation rated to cut surrounding sound by up to 48dB. The buds also support pinch controls, Hi-Res Audio and LHDC codecs, and can stay connected to two devices at once. An IP55 rating adds a basic level of dust and splash resistance.
Battery life is rated at up to 40 hours with the charging case, which supports both USB-C and wireless charging, although Tecno says the wireless pad is sold separately. The Pova AI Buds Pro are priced at about $155 in India and come in a single colour. That launch follows closely after Tecno’s recent Pova 8 series announcements, including the Pova 8 5G, which the company positioned as a broader AI and battery-focused device family. According to Tecno’s own product specifications for the Pova 8 Pro 5G, the phone line also includes a 144Hz AMOLED display, a Dimensity 7400 Ultimate processor and a 6,500mAh battery, underscoring the brand’s wider emphasis on endurance and connected features.
