Ugreen’s ClipBuds Pro 2 redefines open-ear earbuds with advanced call and productivity features

Ugreen launches the ClipBuds Pro 2, an open-ear, clip-on earbud designed for enhanced call clarity, immersive sound, and AI-powered productivity in shared environments, featuring innovative microphone technology and long battery life.

Ugreen has added a more ambitious model to its audio range with the ClipBuds Pro 2, an open-ear, clip-on pair of earbuds built for users who want to stay aware of their surroundings while still taking calls, listening to music and handling work tasks. The design avoids sealing the ear canal, which should make it more comfortable for prolonged use in offices, during commuting and in other shared spaces where situational awareness matters. According to the company’s announcement, the earbuds combine lightweight construction with higher-quality wireless audio, AI-assisted communication tools and a battery package intended to carry users through a long working day.

The ClipBuds Pro 2 centre on a six-microphone call system that includes four microphones and two bone-conduction voice pickup units. Ugreen says the added sensors help isolate the wearer’s voice by detecting vibrations in speech, improving call clarity in difficult conditions such as traffic, office chatter and wind. The company claims the noise-handling system is effective in environments reaching 75dB, which would place it in the category of earbuds aimed at frequent callers rather than casual listeners.

On the audio side, the product uses 11mm dual-magnet titanium-composite drivers and supports LDAC high-bitrate wireless transmission, alongside Hi-Res Wireless certification. Ugreen has also included a Bass Mode for users who prefer a stronger low end, while spatial audio is meant to widen the presentation for music, podcasts and video. The company says it worked with Terri Lyne Carrington, a four-time Grammy Award winner, on tuning the sound profile, with the aim of balancing vocals, instruments and rhythm without losing the open character of the design.

Ugreen is also positioning the ClipBuds Pro 2 as a productivity tool. The earbuds are said to support live recording, transcription, meeting summaries and face-to-face translation in more than 130 languages, using speech recognition together with AI models including GPT and Gemini. Dual-device connectivity allows them to remain paired with a laptop and a smartphone at the same time, which should help users move between calls and computer meetings without repeated re-pairing. Battery life is rated at up to 10 hours from the earbuds alone and up to 46 hours including the charging case. The ClipBuds Pro 2 are on sale for $99.99 through Ugreen’s own store and Amazon, putting them in a crowded mid-market category where features rather than price alone are likely to decide their appeal.
