UGREEN releases the Nexode Pro 160W charger featuring a built-in retractable cable, live power data display, and multiple ports, promising a compact, versatile power solution for travellers and daily users alike.
UGREEN’s Nexode Pro 160W Charger with Retractable Cable is aimed squarely at people who want one brick to handle a laptop, phone and accessories without carrying a tangle of leads. Android Central’s review said the latest version keeps the compact GaN form factor that made the line appealing, while adding a built-in retractable cable, a foldable plug and a front display. UGREEN says the charger is built for travel and everyday use, with a 160W ceiling and a 140W single-port maximum.
The screen is the most useful of the new additions. According to UGREEN, it reports live charging data such as wattage, voltage, temperature and protocol information, and it can rotate to match the charger’s orientation. Android Central found that this made it easier to judge how long different devices would need to top up, while also showing whether a phone or laptop was drawing USB PD rather than a proprietary fast-charge mode.
The retractable cable is the other major convenience feature. UGREEN says it extends to about 2.3 feet and offers multiple stopping points, which reduces desk clutter and removes the need to pack an extra cable for many trips. In testing, Android Central said the motorised mechanism held up well over several months, and the magnetic end helped keep the cable neatly attached to the body when not in use.
Port selection is also broad enough for a typical travel setup. UGREEN lists three USB-C connections, including the retractable lead, plus a USB-A port, with total output shared dynamically across attached devices. The company says the charger can deliver up to 140W from a single USB-C port and support charging for laptops, tablets and phones at the same time. Android Central’s verdict was that the combination of power delivery, build quality and small design changes makes it a practical replacement for carrying multiple chargers.
