UGREEN’s Nexode Pro 300W desktop charger is built for people who want a single charging base rather than a tangle of adapters. In a week of use, the unit proved well suited to a fixed desk setup, where its weight and footprint are less a drawback than a sign that it is designed to stay in place. UGREEN launched it on 30 July at $199.99, positioning it as the company’s first desktop charger with a built-in display and remote app controls. According to UGREEN, the charger uses GaN technology and is aimed at home and office use.
The headline specification is the power budget. UGREEN says the charger can deliver 300W in total, with three USB-C ports capable of up to 140W each, while other reports note that the remaining outputs are reserved for lower-demand devices. In practice, that makes it suitable for laptops, phones, earbuds and tablets at the same time, provided the higher-draw devices are connected to the right ports. Android Central said the 300W ceiling and 140W single-port output place it in the same class as chargers meant to handle MacBooks and Windows laptops alongside smaller accessories.
The charger’s display is one of its most useful additions. It shows live charging figures, which makes it easier to see what each device is drawing, and the physical controls on the unit handle most everyday adjustments without needing an app. UGREEN also offers app-based monitoring and settings changes, although that is mainly useful for features such as the screen saver. The chassis is compact for its output, with UGREEN listing dimensions of 133 x 90 x 42mm, but the design is still clearly intended for a desktop rather than a travel bag.
There are some compromises. The review found the display a little dim, and the charger can run warm under load, although UGREEN says its internal components are built to handle temperatures of around 105C. The port layout also means users need to pay attention to where they plug in power-hungry devices, because not every USB-C port delivers the same output. Even so, the broader verdict from early reviewers is consistent: this is an expensive but capable charging hub for people who want to replace several bricks with one central unit.
