Woot offers significant discount on Samsung 9100 Pro PCIe 5.0 SSD for Prime members

Woot is currently selling the 4TB Samsung 9100 Pro PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD at a substantial discount of over $348, exclusively for Amazon Prime members, providing a rare opportunity for high-performance storage at a reduced price.

Tom’s Hardware reported that Woot is offering the 4TB Samsung 9100 Pro SSD for $619.99, a discount of $348.51 from its listed price of $968.50. The sale is tied to Amazon Prime, since Woot is owned by Amazon, and the article said buyers need a Prime-linked account to complete the purchase.

The 9100 Pro is Samsung’s PCIe 5.0 NVMe M.2 drive built for very fast storage workloads. Samsung’s product information lists sequential read speeds of up to 14,800MB/s and write speeds of up to 13,400MB/s, with the 4TB model shipping with a heatsink for thermal management. The drive uses a 2280 form factor, supports NVMe 2.0 and is positioned for desktops, laptops and PlayStation 5 systems.

TechRadar’s review found that the drive performs strongly in large-file work, although its real-world sequential read results fell short of the quoted peak in testing. That makes it best suited to users who need high-capacity, high-throughput storage for gaming, content creation or productivity rather than those simply looking for the cheapest possible SSD. Even so, in a market where NAND prices have risen sharply, Tom’s Hardware said the Woot offer is a notable reduction for a 4TB Gen 5 drive from a major brand.
