Xiaomi's new magnetic power bank integrates USB-C with faster wireless charging, complying with stricter safety standards

Xiaomi is unveiling an upgraded 10,000mAh magnetic power bank featuring built-in USB-C cable, faster wired charging, enhanced safety compliance, and a more compact design aimed at premium consumers.

Xiaomi is preparing a new magnetic power bank with a 10,000mAh battery, as certification filings in China indicate a model with the internal code WPB1025. According to IXBT News, the device is an updated version of the company’s existing 10,000mAh magnetic charger, but with one notable change: a USB-C cable built into the casing.

The filing shows a nominal energy rating of 37Wh, which matches a 10,000mAh cell, and suggests 30W input and 45W wired output through either the integrated lead or a separate USB-C port. Wireless charging will support four power levels – 5W, 7.5W, 15W and 20W – while combined wired and wireless use will be limited to 15W overall.

The new model also appears to be designed with safety and compliance in mind. Xiaomi is aligning it with China’s GB 47372-2026 standard, which introduces tougher tests for puncture, overcharge, crushing and heat exposure, as well as checks for lithium-metal formation during ageing and repeated charging cycles. Xiaomi Communications Technology was one of the organisations involved in drafting the standard, according to the information cited.

Reports from T3 and Gizmochina suggest the broader UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank line has already moved towards a more premium, compact format, with a 10,000mAh version sold in China and a slimmer 5,000mAh model previously reaching the UK market. That suggests Xiaomi is extending a design that combines high capacity, fast charging and magnetic attachment, while adding practical details such as USB-C passthrough and diagnostic readouts when connected to a computer.
