Xiaomi’s Redmi Buds 8 Pro challenge premium models with triple drivers and intelligent ANC at €59.99

Xiaomi launches the Redmi Buds 8 Pro at €59.99, featuring adaptive active noise cancellation, triple driver setup, and premium audio support, disrupting the budget wireless earbud segment with ambitious specs and competitive pricing.

Xiaomi’s Redmi Buds 8 Pro are being sold in three colour options at €59.99, a price that undercuts both the original launch offer of €69.99 and the €84.99 list price. That places them firmly in the budget-to-midrange segment, but with a specification sheet that is unusually ambitious for the money. According to Xiaomi’s product pages, the earbuds are available in Glacier Blue, Obsidian Black and Cloud White.

The headline feature is adaptive active noise cancellation rated at up to 55dB across a 5kHz bandwidth. Xiaomi says the system constantly assesses the listening environment and adjusts itself in real time, which should make it more effective than basic ANC tuned only for steady low-frequency noise. That matters in places such as trains, open-plan offices and busy streets, where sound is less predictable.

Audio hardware is equally unusual at this level. Xiaomi uses a triple coaxial driver setup built around an 11mm dynamic driver with a titanium coating, plus two 6.7mm piezoelectric ceramic tweeters. The company pairs this with Hi-Res Audio Wireless support, LDAC or LHDC-V5 depending on the market page, and Dolby Audio. The result is intended to deliver stronger bass, clearer vocals and better treble separation than the typical single-driver true wireless design.

For calls, each earbud carries three microphones and AI-based noise reduction. Xiaomi says this can help maintain clearer voice pickup even in wind of up to 12m/s. Battery life is listed at up to eight hours per charge, with up to 33 hours using the case on some product pages and up to 35 hours on others, so buyers should check regional specifications carefully. The earbuds also include Bluetooth 5.4, Google Fast Pair, dual-device connectivity and an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.
