Fire-Boltt’s new Ace and Evo smartphones prioritise 6,000mAh batteries and durable design features, aiming to redefine endurance in budget handsets ahead of their 25 August launch.
boltt, the smartphone brand from the Fire-Boltt stable, has set battery life at the centre of its pitch for the upcoming Ace and Evo models, both of which are due to launch on 25 August. The company says each handset will carry a 6,000mAh battery, positioning them for users who expect long sessions of streaming, gaming, navigation and social media use without constant charging.
The Ace also adds 18W fast charging through a USB-C port, and boltt says an 18W charger will be bundled in the box. That matters in a market where many budget handsets now omit the charger, even as buyers still value quicker top-ups and simpler out-of-the-box use.
Beyond raw capacity, boltt is also stressing battery durability. The company says both phones are designed to keep more than 80% of battery health after 500 charging cycles, alongside protection against overcharging, short circuits, voltage swings and temperature changes. It has also pointed to high-temperature testing, a relevant claim in a country where devices can face widely varying climate conditions.
Independent battery guides suggest that a 6,000mAh cell can deliver strong endurance, but real-world results still depend heavily on chipset efficiency, software tuning and heat management. Under moderate use, such phones can last well beyond a day, while heavier workloads shorten that window substantially. Analysts also note that battery ageing is driven more by charge cycles and thermal stress than by capacity alone.
That broader context makes boltt’s emphasis on protection features and endurance more important than the headline number itself. The forthcoming specifications leak for the Evo, reported by Gadgets 360 and Oton Technology, indicates a Unisoc T7250 processor, about 4GB of RAM and Android 16, with pricing expected to stay below ₹20,000 in India. If accurate, that would place the device in a competitive budget segment where battery life can be a decisive selling point.
