Flipkart’s Freedom Sale 2026, launched on August 8, features hourly deals and significant discounts on flagship smartphones, including the iPhone 17 Pro Max and Google Pixel 10, intensifying rivalry in the Indian tech market.
Flipkart’s Freedom Sale 2026 opened to all shoppers on August 8 after early access for Plus and Black members on August 7, and the retailer is using hourly “Tick Tock” offers and a 6 PM to 7 PM price-crash window to keep prices moving through the event. Smartphones are the main attraction, with Apple, Google, Samsung, Nothing, OPPO and Motorola all represented in the discount line-up, while the final checkout price can still shift depending on bank, exchange and other promotional benefits.
Among the most closely watched offers is Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro Max. Flipkart is advertising the 256GB version at a lower sale price than its launch tag of ₹1,49,900, while the higher-capacity variants are also listed with cuts. Livemint reported that the same model has been available at ₹1,25,400 in Flipkart’s Sasa Lele promotion, underlining how aggressively the retailer has been pricing Apple’s latest flagship during back-to-back sales. The broader iPhone range is also included, and customers are being steered towards bank discounts and exchange bonuses before they check out.
Google’s Pixel 10 family is another premium focus. Flipkart is listing the Pixel 10 Pro XL at ₹1,14,999, the Pixel 10 Pro at ₹99,999 and the standard Pixel 10 at a reduced price as well. Samsung has also cut prices across several Galaxy models, with the Galaxy S25 shown at about ₹57,999 and the Galaxy S25 FE at ₹47,999 in the sale. That fits a wider pattern seen in previous Flipkart events, where Beebom said the Galaxy S25 was effectively pushed down further through a bank discount and markup-based pricing structure.
The sale is not limited to the most expensive phones. Nothing’s Phone 4a, Phone 4a Pro and Phone 4b are all listed with lower prices, while OPPO’s K14 and Reno line are also included. Motorola has a place in the event too, with the Edge 70 among the highlighted devices. For buyers, the main point is that Flipkart’s posted figure is not always the amount paid at checkout, because the effective cost can fall further once card offers and exchange value are applied.
Beyond handsets, the Freedom Sale extends to tablets, laptops, MacBooks, smart TVs and audio products. Flipkart has highlighted Samsung’s Galaxy Tab A11+, Galaxy Book 4 range, 55-inch 4K smart TVs and selected boAt wireless earphones among the other discounted items. The structure of the event, with price-crash windows, Rush Hours and Tick Tock deals, means shoppers may see offers change during the day rather than remain fixed throughout the sale period.
