Google has launched the Pixel 11 family, incorporating advanced AI, brighter displays, and upgraded cameras, positioning itself firmly in the premium Android market with a focus on software-driven innovations.
Google’s Pixel 11 family has arrived with a sharper focus on artificial intelligence, imaging and display quality, as the company looks to extend its lead in premium Android phones. Business Today reported that the India launch took place on 13 August, with hands-on testing covering the standard Pixel 11, the Pro models and the Fold variant. The new range keeps the familiar Pixel identity but adds a more refined hardware design, brighter panels and deeper Gemini integration.
According to Android Central, the line-up consists of four devices: the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. All are built around Google’s custom 2nm Tensor G6 chip, which the publication said brings a notable lift in performance and AI acceleration. The phones also start with 12GB of RAM, and storage now begins at 256GB rather than 128GB, a sign that Google is positioning the series more firmly as a top-end offering.
Display quality is another central upgrade. What Hi-Fi reported peak brightness of up to 3,600 nits on the Pro models and the Fold, while the base Pixel 11 uses a 6.3-inch Actua OLED screen. The same report said the standard model gets a new 48MP main camera sensor with improved light sensitivity, alongside 30W wired charging and PixelSnap wireless charging. On the higher tiers, Google has moved to a 50MP main camera and a more advanced telephoto system.
The camera changes are especially important because they remain the main reason many buyers choose Pixel phones. Digital Camera World said the Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL add a 48MP telephoto sensor with up to 120x Pro Zoom, while the base handset offers 30x Super Zoom. A new feature called Magic Capture lets users record video and still images at the same time, with AI handling unblurring and cropping. The publication also noted Camera Looks, a tool for creating personalised styles while preserving skin-tone accuracy through Google’s Real Tone work.
Google is also pushing more of the experience into software. Android Central said the phones run Android 17 with Gemini Intelligence, enabling features such as live video translation and improved voice-to-text. TechRadar reported that Google is also expanding the wider Pixel ecosystem, adding the Pixel Watch 5 and a new Pixel Tag accessory alongside the phones. In India, Business Today said the Pixel 11 starts at ₹89,999, while the Pixel 11 Pro Fold reaches ₹1,86,999, placing the range squarely against the most expensive rivals in the market.
