Google’s annual Made by Google event returns to New York on August 12, promising the launch of the Pixel 11 series, Pixel Watch 5, and new accessories, with leaks hinting at design tweaks, higher prices, and enhanced features.
Google’s next hardware showcase, Made by Google 2026, is set for August 12 in New York, with the Indian start time falling in the early hours of August 13 because of the time difference. The event is expected to be streamed live and marks Google’s second straight year using New York City for its flagship launch.
The Pixel 11 family is expected to headline the presentation, with four phones likely on the slate: the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Google is also expected to open pre-orders on the day of the event, rather than waiting until later in the week. Retail availability is being tipped for later in August, although that has not been officially confirmed.
Leaked images published ahead of the launch suggest the Pixel 11 Pro XL will keep a familiar shape but may add a matte black finish and a new RGB notification light built into the camera bar. Reports also point to a Tensor G6 chip, the removal of the 128GB storage tier and a possible shift to higher starting capacities. Other rumours describe a new colour variant and a likely focus on incremental rather than radical design changes.
The wider Pixel range may also see changes beyond the phones. Reporting from Tom’s Guide suggests Google could use the event to introduce the Pixel Watch 5, along with a possible Bluetooth tracker called Pixel Tag and other accessory updates. The same report says Google may push higher prices across the line, while other leaks indicate the Pro models could ship with different memory configurations and camera features such as enhanced digital zoom.
