Google launches a new Pixel Upgrade Programme in India, allowing users to upgrade annually via a 24-month no-cost EMI plan, with buyback and bundled services to foster repeat upgrades amid device lifecycle management.
Google has launched a Pixel Upgrade Programme in India, creating a monthly payment route for buyers who want to move to a new device more frequently. According to Google’s announcement and reports by Business Standard, Moneycontrol and The Indian Express, the scheme is built around a 24-month no-cost EMI plan, with monthly instalments starting at ₹3,333. After nine payments, eligible customers can upgrade to a newer Pixel model rather than waiting for the full loan to end.
The programme also includes an assured buyback element, which Google says is intended to reduce the friction involved in reselling an old handset. Business Today reported that buyers may receive up to 62.5% assured buyback after nine EMIs, alongside zero down payment and annual upgrade options. Google’s own blog says the offer is being run with Bajaj Finance and HDFC Bank credit cards, while Business Standard and FoneArena add that Cashify is also part of the wider device-lifecycle arrangement through authorised retail channels.
There is, however, a discrepancy in the handset details. Business Today framed the programme around Pixel 11 buyers and an effective price of ₹49,999 after exchange and other offers, but Google’s own announcement describes the offer for the Pixel 10 series, including the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. That difference suggests the retail launch information may have evolved, or that the publication was referring to a different promotion cycle. In either case, the basic structure is clear: Google is using financing, buyback and bundled services such as Google AI Pro, Google Health Premium and YouTube Premium to make Pixel ownership more predictable for repeat upgraders.
